On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Prof.Dr. Kamal Kolo, Head of the Center for Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the Scientific Research Center of Soran University delivered an insightful seminar titled “Climate Change Science and Education ” The seminar, hosted by Progress Sun Company, for solar energy in Iraq, was aimed at the fourth-year students of the college of Environmetal Siences.
Prof.Dr. Kolo, an expert in environmental sciences from the Soran University and Brussel University (VUB)Belgium, discussed key issues surrounding climate change and its impact on global sustainability, as well as the role of education in addressing climate challenges.
This seminar was part of a three-day training organized by Progress Sun, focusing on the urgent need to promote solar energy in the Kurdistan Region. The training highlighted the growing importance of renewable energy solutions in mitigating climate change and promoting sustainable development in the region.
